Aboriginal Health Practitioner Position

We are seeking an experienced Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in the Mental Health Rehabilitation Services at Noarlunga Hospital. The successful candidate will provide culturally safe care and responsive service delivery to Aboriginal consumers, as well as work collaboratively with other health professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality, individualized care to patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Support the development of culturally responsive service delivery models that address the unique needs of Aboriginal consumers.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care plans that meet the needs of patients and their families.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A Certificate III or IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia (if applying as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner).
  • Completed training and/or education within Mental Health or a related field.
