Role of a Mental Health Specialist

The role of a Mental Health Specialist in our team is to provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support the diverse mental health needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide thorough mental health assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual client needs
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including focused psychological strategies, to address a range of mental health issues
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care and achieve optimal outcomes for clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to promote effective communication and coordination of care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and treatment plans
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field, with a strong academic record
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the relevant regulatory agency
  • Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in mental health settings, with a focus on providing comprehensive assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities, with a focus on maintaining expertise in mental health assessment and intervention
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, with the ability to respond to emergency situations as needed
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures governing mental health practice, with an understanding of national standards and guidelines
