Navigator of Culturally Responsive Mental Health Services

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of culturally responsive care for local Aboriginal communities. As a key member of our Mental Health workforce, you will work closely with Aboriginal consumers and be strongly connected with the local community.
Our organisation understands that Aboriginal health is everyone's business, and we are committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care for our clients. The role requires someone with a strong connection to their culture, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing consumer and community needs.
The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications in health or management, and/or relevant equivalent work experience. They will also possess knowledge and understanding of complex issues impacting Aboriginal people's health and wellbeing.
As part of this role, you will be required to travel to other Mental Health Service sites and across the SESLHD area. This position is subject to certain legislative requirements. - Key Selection Criteria:
- To be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or management, or equivalent work experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of complex issues impacting Aboriginal people's health and wellbeing;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within allocated timeframes;
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills;
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in meeting current and emerging consumer and community needs.
