About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at SYC. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the HR function, providing strategic guidance and support to our business leaders and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services and programs.
  • Employee Relations: Manage complex employee complaints, grievances, workplace investigations, and mediations, ensuring a fair and respectful work environment.
  • HR Advice and Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on all aspects of people management, including recruitment, talent development, and employee engagement.
  • HR Projects: Contribute to the analysis of exit survey data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance employee management practices.
  • Employee Development: Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of the Employee Development Program, ensuring employees have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the Chief People Officer and other business leaders to achieve set objectives and ensure effective communication across the organization.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading a team, including direct supervision and management of employees.
  • HR Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of employment law, employee relations management principles, and WHS legislation and regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
  • Time Management: Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
