The Job Overview

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be part of a team providing care for one resident around the clock. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Daily living assistance, such as showering, personal hygiene, meal times, and general mobility
  • Providing care in accordance with individualized Care Plans
  • Emotionally supporting residents through conversations and active listening
  • Collaborating with other support staff/managers to exchange advice and best practices

Essential Qualifications and Experience

You will need:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  • 1-3 years experience in a similar care role

Additional Requirements

You must have:

  • A current driver's license
  • A National Police Check (issued within the last 6 months)
  • A Working with Children Check (Employer)
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • CPR & First Aid certification
