Role Overview

The Surgical Instrument Technician position is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and precision are crucial. This role involves the cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment for various departments and operating theaters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely delivery of sterile products, trays, and equipment as needed.
  • Rotate through allocated areas within the department to maintain consistency and workflow between operating theaters and the Sterilizing Services Department.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and sterility while working independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
  • Certification in Sterilizing Services (minimum Cert 3) or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience working in a Sterilizing Unit is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
