This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team in empowering Aboriginal people to take control of their individual, family, and community health and wellbeing needs.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of social and emotional wellbeing within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to holistic and culturally safe care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of client behaviour and social-emotional wellbeing using observation, interviews, and psychometric tests.
- Develop and administer tailored treatment therapies to support clients' specific needs.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure all counselling sessions are recorded in the relevant billing system.
- Participate in regular meetings and training to maintain professional development and facilitate referrals to mental health, AOD services, and community programs.
Requirements:
- AHPRA registration as a psychologist is mandatory.
- Proven experience delivering programs and activities for Aboriginal people is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
