Mental Health Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in providing individualized, holistic, and collaborative mental health support to young people aged 12-25 years across various communities in Western NSW.
As a key member of our Rural Youth Mental Health (RYMH) team, you will work collaboratively with young people, families, and other service partners to reduce barriers for young people to engage with services and minimize the impact of mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop positive relationships with young people to support their mental health recovery journey by identifying goals and developing individualized plans.
- Coordinate with other service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Link young people to appropriate services to facilitate recovery and well-being.
- Contribute to a supportive team environment.
- Travel overnight as required.
- A degree qualification in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
- Experience supporting young people experiencing mental health challenges.
- Able to work in rural communities and develop community connections.
- A person-centered approach with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to conduct assessments, provide case management, and offer psychological interventions.
- Natural team player with the capacity to work independently.
