Family Preservation and Reunification Specialist
You will be working closely with families and children in need of support, utilizing a care team approach to deliver a rapid, culturally safe, flexible and intensive service.
The position requires a professional qualification in Social Work or Welfare and at least 2 years' experience working within the Child Protection or Family Services sectors. You will have advanced knowledge and application of relevant theories, intervention approaches and understanding of the causes of family breakdown, child safety and child development.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A strong background in trauma-informed practice and ability to apply effective approaches when trauma is featured.
- Demonstrated experience in case work and family therapy.
Key requirements for this position include:
- Advanced knowledge of best interest case practice framework and response practice modules.
- Ability to coordinate, facilitate and deliver services to families referred through the Family Preservation and Reunification Response.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A professional qualification in Social Work, Welfare or other relevant tertiary study.
- At least 2 years' experience working within either the Child Protection or the Family Services sectors, or other service providing direct case work to families and children.
