Job Description

This position focuses on Family Preservation and Reunification Response within Child Protection. The role is dedicated to ensuring the right people are in the right place to safeguard children's rights and best interests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk assessment and analysis: Provide support and guidance on risk assessment and analysis, enabling timely interventions that promote child well-being.
  • Case planning review and case management: Directly support high-risk cases, facilitating effective case planning and coordination.
  • Culture and Leadership Development: Foster collective leadership, develop staff coaching and mentoring skills, and promote a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility.
  • System Leadership: Establish relationships with key stakeholders to secure their support and foster a collaborative approach to child protection.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and legislative requirements, including the Aboriginal Child Placement Principle.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel for transporting children, which may involve overnight and evening shifts.
