At Kennedy Reid, our client is a leading Third Party Claims Administrator in Australia. They seek an experienced Claims Team Leader with expertise in Medical negligence, medical malpractice, complex liability, or professional indemnity claims to lead their well-established team.
The Role- Manage 12 consultants with varying experience levels in Medical Negligence claims.
- Provide training, decision approvals, and support to team members on complex and contentious claims.
- Support policy holders, key claimants, and stakeholders as needed.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, lawyers, and litigators.
- Understand policy wordings.
- End-to-end handling of Medical Negligence, Medical Malpractice, Professional Indemnity, or Complex Liability claims for at least 2 years.
- Previous experience in team management or people leadership.
- Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Operational processes and procedures knowledge in team environments.
- Effective claim management and stakeholder interaction.
- Team-centric leadership approach.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Great communication skills.
