Support Families and Carers

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support families and carers of people with mental health challenges.

The successful candidate will have lived experience as a family member, carer or supporter of someone who has experienced mental ill-health and/or substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver solution-focused, peer-led support to families and carers either one-on-one or through group facilitation.
  • Engage with local mental health services and community-based organisations to identify families and carers in need of support.
Requirements:
  • Intentional Peer Support Core and/or Advanced Training, or Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, is highly desirable but not required.
  • A strong understanding of the impact of mental illness on families and carers, gained from personal experience and expertise.
