Family Support Role
">This is an opportunity to support families and carers who are dealing with mental health challenges. You will be using your own lived experience to help others.
">About the Position
">We are looking for two compassionate people to fill two part-time positions in the Bendigo area. The roles will involve working with families and carers to provide them with support and guidance.
">Key Responsibilities
">As a Family Support Worker, you will need to demonstrate your knowledge and skills gained from your own experiences. This will involve delivering solution-focused support to individuals and groups.
">Engagement with Local Services
">You will be required to engage with local services such as schools and community-based organisations to identify families and carers who may require early support.
">Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed Intentional Peer Support Core and/or Advanced Training, or have a Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work. You must also have a lived/living experience as a family member, carer or supporter of someone who has experienced mental ill-health and/or substance use challenges.
