Job Description

Speech pathologists work with clients who have communication and swallowing disorders. They assess, diagnose, and manage clients' needs, and provide support through various methods such as clinic or home-based sessions, training, and resource development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and managing a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders;
  • Participating in complex multidisciplinary assessments (e.g., FASD);
  • Providing client support, including clinic or home-based sessions, training, and resource development;
  • Working with low and high-tech equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia;
  • Experience or interest in working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs;
  • Experience or interest in conducting Communication assessments, treatment planning, and intervention for children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of presentations; and Mealtime Management.
