Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Coordinate various functions to deliver successful projects, including developing strategies with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects on time and within budget.
- Customer Interface: Act as the primary customer interface, collaborating daily with engineering and production teams to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure clear communication with customers regarding their project status.
- Project Documentation: Maintain clear project documentation, ensuring transparency regarding status, milestones, and customer demands.
- Project Planning: Plan and monitor project activities to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables align with the contracted scope of work.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve project issues and manage resource constraints in a timely manner.
- Status Updates: Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on deliverables, timelines, and critical issues.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction by managing expectations, troubleshooting issues, and providing timely reports and financial forecasts.
- Vendor Management: Submit all required vendor documentation, including engineering drawings, performance test data, and regulatory information, within project timelines.
- Project Evaluation: Evaluate project outcomes, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions using Root-Cause Counter-Measure (RCCM) tools.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary degree in Science, Engineering, or Project Management certification (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in setting and achieving goals, managing tasks, meeting deadlines, and multi-tasking effectively.
- Customer Relationships: Proven ability to build strong customer relationships, proactively responding to customer needs in a dynamic environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate data and provide accurate reports and workable solutions.
- Technical Skills: Experience using project management tools and ERP systems, proficiency in Microsoft applications for project planning and milestone tracking.
- Commercial Knowledge: Knowledge of commercial contracts and terms & conditions.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the industrial processing or mining industry is an advantage.
