Job Opportunity: Database Specialist

A global leader in the delivery of innovative and digitally enabled legal services is seeking a skilled database specialist to join its team.


This role will focus on specifying, creating, maintaining and connecting databases within our Azure environments. The ideal candidate will work within cross-functional agile teams, alongside experts to create and support client-facing solutions and internal initiatives.


The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure data services. Experience with programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, Python, or similar is also essential.


Additionally, the ideal candidate will have expertise in development tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, as well as the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specify, create, maintain, and connect databases within Azure environments
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create and support client-facing solutions and internal initiatives

  • Maintain and improve existing databases and related systems

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in database engineering or administration, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
  • Proficiency in Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure data services
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, Python, or similar
  • Experience and confidence with development tools and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices
