Role Overview:

We are seeking an expert in material risk management to join our team as a Material Risk Lead. This position plays a vital role in driving innovation, developing and validating works focused on enhancing safety practices, tools, systems, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking opportunities to simplify the Safety Management System, tools, and practices in collaboration with the group ecosystem.
  • Simplify and transform the review and improvement of key risk controls to manage life-threatening risks in the business by harnessing digital and data-led tools and analysis.
  • Partner deeply with leaders, Group Safety, and Industry to understand serious incidents and drive initiatives to prevent recurrence.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S).
  • At least 10 years of experience in risk management roles.
  • Experience managing and influencing external and internal stakeholders.
  • Change Management expertise.
  • Leadership and coaching skills through influence.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and health legislation.
  • Prior experience in multi-site operations is desirable.
