Job Title: Contract Specialist

About the Role:

The Procurement Officer will play a vital role in driving purchasing initiatives, supporting internal departments, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

This position is responsible for coordinating purchase orders, conducting quality checks on incoming goods, and managing stock replenishment.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in a busy environment as a Purchasing Officer or Buyer, preferably within the FMCG sector.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and process purchase orders within company systems.
  • Conduct daily checks on incoming goods to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Work closely with demand planning and production teams to align purchases with daily production plans and forecasts.
  • Manage stock replenishment, with a focus on product shelf life.
  • Develop key supplier relationships for positive and ongoing stock deals.
  • Liaise with all departments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support the preparation and processing of RFI's and RFP's to procure value-for-money solutions.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in a busy environment as a Purchasing Officer or Buyer, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • A strong background in inventory management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly accurate with a strong attention to detail.
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude.
