Power Systems Operator Role Overview

The Power Systems Operator is a key position within our organization, responsible for safely executing production activities and operating physical assets, plant, and equipment. This permanent full-time role is based at the Worsley Alumina Refinery and offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.

As a Power Systems Operator, you will be working closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of production activities according to schedule. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Executing safe work practices and procedures
  • Understanding asset conditions and daily work requirements
  • Identifying gaps and routine incompletions
  • Conducting personal risk assessments for Clearance To Work Procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Advanced Boiler Operations High Risk Work License
  • Turbine Operations High Risk Work License
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in power generation

  • Required CPKs and APKs of the area
