Electrical Technician Job Description

As an Electrical Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our power generation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled service works on generator sets and engine control panels
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with engines/generators up to 3350KVA
  • Modify wiring looms and diagrams as required
  • Commission new generators/systems, transfer switches, and master controllers
  • Work closely with the Mechanical Service team to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Maintain a high focus on safety at all times
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call roster

Requirements:

  • Be a trade-qualified electrician with a current Electrical Licence and/or Electrical contractor's license
  • Have previous industrial experience in an industrial factory as a senior or sole electrician
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of control systems, including PLC and relay logic
  • Be able to interpret electrical schematics
  • Have strong PC skills
  • Exhibit excellent teamwork and customer service skills
  • Hold a current, valid driver's license
  • Previous experience in Power Generation products is highly regarded but not essential
