Job Title:

Power Generation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Generation Specialist to operate and maintain a power plant facility, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and control generators and related systems to generate electricity and maintain a stable power supply.
  • Monitor and analyze power plant performance, identify and diagnose malfunctions or problems, and take corrective action to ensure optimal operation.
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and system failures, including initiating emergency shutdown procedures, and coordinating with internal and external parties as necessary.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs, including inspecting and testing equipment, replacing or repairing components, and performing preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Perform operational and safety checks on equipment and systems, including ensuring compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.

Requirements:

  • 'A' Grade Electrical Trade certification
  • 3-5 years of experience in power plant operations or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of power plant equipment and systems, generators, and related systems, and the ability to operate and control this equipment effectively
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to power plant operation, and the ability to ensure compliance with these requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions or operational issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
