APS Power has been operating in Australia since 2003, we supply power generation, sustainable battery/solar products & welding equipment to multiple industry sectors within Australia. This role is based at our Australian Head Office in Perth, Western Australia. We are an agile and flexible business, supplying a product renowned for quality, reliability and performance, matched by class leading customer service.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current unrestricted Electrical Licence
  • General generator experience
  • Experience with ComAp or similar generator controls, including basic PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • High Risk LF Forklift Licence
  • C Class Manual Drivers License
  • Basic mechanical experience (desirable)
  • Exposure to battery storage & solar technology (desirable)
  • Physically fit and able to perform all manual tasks
  • Excellent fault finding skills
  • General computer skills
  • Prioritises and plans work activities; uses time efficiently
  • Treats people with respect; keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; works with integrity and ethically; upholds organisational values.
  • Be self motivated, enthusiastic and take pride in your work
  • Must have permanent Australian work rights
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with industrial generators and power distribution systems

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose electrical circuits, faults, failures.
  • Install electrical componentry to power generation equipment.
  • Complete pre delivery electrical and mechanical checks to comply with regulations.
  • Commissioning and test & tag of new equipment
  • Assist dealers to fault find and provide assistance when required.
  • Installation of mechanical componentry.
  • Service and maintain customer machines.
  • Perform warranty repairs and onsite service/repairs.
  • Assist with site specific custom builds.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team when required.
  • Work in a clean, organised and structed environment.
  • Provide customer services and advise users of correct operating methods to prevent breakdowns.
  • Small amount of Interstate travel as required
