Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organized Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator to lead our team's day-to-day activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist advice to clinicians, leading on service improvement initiatives, and collaborating with the pathology department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the team's day-to-day activities
- Lead on service improvement initiatives
- Provide specialist advice to clinicians on POCT devices and procedures
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with UKAS standards
- Collaborate with the POCT manager to develop and implement training programs for Associate Practitioners
- Work closely with the pathology department to maintain and promote a professional image
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of UKAS standards and accreditation processes
- Experience in managing teams and coordinating day-to-day activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
