Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses to deliver planned care under indirect supervision.
  • Work independently as required within a designated team framework.
  • Demonstrate awareness of personal professional practice limitations and seek guidance when necessary.
  • Undertake clinical tasks such as observations, wound care, and point-of-care testing.
  • Support the development of Healthcare Support Workers and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Participate in case conferences and review meetings to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate patient records of provided care and its impact.
  • Support the ward team and assist Registered Nurses as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Level 4 vocational qualification or Certificate in Health Care Support Worker Education is essential.
  • A teaching or assessment qualification would be advantageous.
  • The ability to understand safeguarding legislation and keep adults safe is crucial.
  • Experience in various clinical skills is highly desirable.
