We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Breast Care Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge and skills in oncology and surgical oncology, with a strong focus on promoting best practice in patient care. They will be responsible for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality patient care.

This role requires a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to work efficiently within a supported team environment and independently as required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical Excellence: Acting as a key resource for promoting best practice in patient care through clinical improvement initiatives and service innovation.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Leadership: Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the successful candidate will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Current Registration: Current registration with APHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in Oncology and or surgical oncology.
  • Qualifications: Completion of Certified Breast Care nurse course i.e. McGrath or equivalent or working towards.
