The Opportunity

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse specialising in Breast Care to join our dedicated and supportive team. You will be responsible for applying advanced knowledge and skills to facilitate the continuity and quality of care for patients diagnosed with Breast Cancer and their families. You will act as a key hospital resource for promoting best practice in the provision of patient care through clinical improvement initiatives and service innovation. An essential support system for patients throughout diagnosis, oncology care, and surgical intervention. Collaborating with oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals including community nurses.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Skills And Experience

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and problem solving within a clinical setting. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work efficiently within a supported team and independently as required.

  • Current registration with APHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Oncology and or surgical oncology
  • Completion of Certified Breast Care nurse course i.e. McGrath or equivalent or working towards
  • Ability to act as a positive role model with excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, clinical problem solving and organisational skills
  • Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills
Remuneration

On offer is base hourly salary of $53.56 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Specialist)

Requirements
  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
