Job Title: Key Account Development Specialist

 

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive customer growth and support in Australia. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with innovative solutions, enhancing efficiency and productivity in the agricultural sector.

 

The ideal candidate will be situated in or around Griffith, ideally close to our existing customer base. They will work closely with growers, offering Aerobotics' cutting-edge technology that helps shape the future of farming.

 

This is more than a sales role; it's a chance to be at the forefront of AgTech innovation. The successful applicant will develop customer strategy to optimize growth for the entire region, sell and deliver products to a wide range of horticultural customers, and directly impact the future of precision farming.

 

To succeed in this role:

  • Identify and build relationships with new customers in the horticultural sector
  • Provide hands-on product demonstrations and training at farms and offices
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and profitability
  • Develop, implement, and achieve revenue & profitability targets aligned with forecasts
  • Optimize the customer decision journey to minimize spend and resources, and maximize purchases and repurchases
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Partner with the Product team to uncover new customer needs & inform product development
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities
  • Regular travel within the region to meet customers, and attend conferences as necessary

 

To thrive in this position, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in agribusiness or AgTech
  • Background or experience in perennial tree crops, agronomy, or horticulture is preferred
  • Strong understanding of farming systems, soil science, nutrition, and irrigation is preferred
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive results without direct supervision
  • World-Class service delivery & customer-centric attitude
  • A valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Valid work permit for Australia (if applicable)
