Graduate Process Engineer Role

This exciting opportunity allows you to play a crucial role in supporting our Division Technology team by contributing to the design, development and implementation of innovative solutions.

As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will assist teams responsible for driving our company's growth and maintaining our competitive edge in the industry. You will be involved in various projects, focusing on learning and exposure to engineering activities that align with our business objectives and meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

What does this role look like?

You will complete four placements across a two-year period, experiencing different areas of our business. By leveraging your fresh perspectives and ideas, you will help us address current challenges and seize new opportunities, ultimately contributing to the overall success and sustainability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of developing a world-class safety culture.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design and develop engineering solutions.
  • Deliver project results in line with agreed objectives of the rotation plan.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders and clients.
  • Perform research to support project development and stay updated with industry trends.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance technical skills and knowledge as part of the graduate program.
Job Knowledge, Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Chemical Engineering with specialisation in minerals processing is mandatory.
  • Fewer than two years of work experience.
  • Evidence of strong academic achievement throughout studies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in local language and English (written and oral), including engineering subject matter.
  • The ability to develop engineering judgment and maturity through exposure to various work environments and challenging tasks.
  • Ability to seek, accept and benefit from advice from mentors and more experienced colleagues.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and demonstrable creativity and innovation.
  • Proven Project Management skills or knowledge and application of PM tools.
  • Ability to apply process engineering methods and tools, and conduct analysis to solve problems and design solutions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
