
Supporting New Lives: A Neonatal Postnatal Nurse Role

We are seeking registered nurses to join our maternity team in a unique and innovative nursing role.
This position is supernumerary to the midwifery roster and has been piloted to enhance our maternity model of care.
The program is coordinated by SaferCare Victoria in collaboration with the Department of Health and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation.
About the OpportunityMercy Hospital has received funding to pilot a new Neonatal and Postnatal Support Nurse program employing nurses on maternity wards.
Applications are now open for Registered Nurses who have an interest in neonatal care or are considering a future career in midwifery.
Key Requirements- You're compassionate, resilient and committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of one year's experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in a maternity, maternal and child health, women's health, neonatal, paediatrics or postoperative environment.
