Job Overview

A successful real estate debt investor with a global partner is looking for a Director of Origination to spearhead their distribution and access to the commercial real estate debt market.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a debt investor destined for continued success and growth, working closely with senior leadership to drive the firm's lending portfolio and market access in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate new lending/investment opportunities in the roughly $3–$30m range.
  • Retain and manage existing relationships, including broker networks and direct channels.
  • Conduct credit analysis and underwriting; lead the structuring and negotiation of loan terms in alignment with the firm's investment criteria.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive the firm's lending portfolio and market access in Australia.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years' experience in a bank or private credit fund with a proven track record in business development and origination.
  • Advanced knowledge in commercial real estate; strong credit risk analysis and management skills.
  • Proven management and leadership experience, including mentoring juniors; excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset.
