Proposal Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Proposal Engineer to lead our proposal development team. This role is ideal for someone who can combine engineering expertise with commercial acumen to produce accurate, competitive, and compelling proposals for clients.

Our team specializes in analytical products and systems, primarily servicing the Oil and Gas market with gas and liquid analyzers, probes, and sample conditioning systems. Our highly trained staff adapts to any condition to meet client requirements and uphold our commitment to customer service and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing client RFQs, tenders, and specifications to understand technical and commercial requirements
  • Collaborating with the sales, engineering, and project teams to develop tailored proposals
  • Preparing cost estimates, technical documentation, and compliance matrices
  • Developing and maintaining proposal templates, pricing models, and standard content
  • Ensuring proposals are accurate, competitive, and submitted within deadlines
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and technical details
  • Participating in bid review meetings and providing input on bid/no-bid decisions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years experience in proposal preparation and proposal writing
  • Electrical Engineering skills
  • Sales and Procurement experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and engineering principles
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is a plus
