We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to undertake the role of Learning and Development Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating learning strategies for both nursing and support staff at our facility.

About the Role:

The Learning and Development Manager is a key position that plays a critical role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our staff. This includes identifying specific learning requirements for each department through annual education needs analysis, ensuring educational activities are identified and aligned with customer needs, maintaining current knowledge of nursing and healthcare best practices, and coordinating the development of evidence-based educational activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an annual education plan that meets the needs of all departments.
  • Ensure that all educational activities are aligned with customer expectations and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain current knowledge of nursing and healthcare best practices to inform educational activities.
  • Coordinate the development of evidence-based educational activities that meet the needs of our facility.
  • Participate in the development of and effectively manage the education team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Provide training and education to facilitate staff compliance with mandatory training requirements in line with national benchmarks.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification in nursing or a related field, along with significant experience in education and training. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A high level of emotional intelligence and the ability to build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders are also required.
