About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Hygiene Specialist to join our team at Central Adelaide Local Health Network. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facilities.

">Main Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including damp dusting, machine scrubbing, buffing, and polishing floors, as well as cleaning sanitary areas, windows, furniture, and hospital beds.
  • Specialized Tasks: Handle specialized tasks such as steam cleaning, carpet cleaning, and cleaning infectious rooms, following strict policies and procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve our goal of providing a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Cleanliness Expertise: Previous experience in cleaning, particularly in a healthcare setting, and knowledge of safe work practices and hospital cleaning procedures.
  • Availability: Availability to work on a 7-day roster, including the flexibility to work a 24-hour roster to provide relief for night shifts as required.
