Job Title: Heavy Duty Fitter

This is an opportunity to take the next step in your career. We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Fitter to join our team at Prominent Hill.

About the Role

As a Heavy Duty Fitter, you will be responsible for performing the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment in accordance with our servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation.

You will work collaboratively with our Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to deliver high-quality solutions and results.

Responsibilities
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults on mobile equipment.
  • Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs to a high standard.
  • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer based systems.
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards.
  • Carrying out pre-start checks.
About You
  • A trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years post-trade experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years' mining experience with exposure to leading or supervision of a team.
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of CAT and Hitachi mobile equipment.
  • Experience in vehicle air conditioning systems (desirable).
  • A High Risk Fork Lift and Dogging ticket advantageous.
  • Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times.
