The Aboriginal Child Protection Navigator Practitioner Leader plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the well-being of children and young people while promoting their rights and healthy development.
This position is dedicated to supporting Aboriginal families whose children are involved with Child Protection services, fostering a collaborative approach that prioritizes the needs and interests of these families.
Key responsibilities include risk assessment and analysis, critical enquiry, and standardised reporting, all designed to enhance outcomes for child safety, wellbeing, and development.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Engage in critical inquiry to investigate complex issues, understanding root causes and implications.
- Utilise standardised reporting frameworks to document case data and provide evidence-based care solutions.
