Job Opportunity:

The role of a Corporate Affairs Manager involves overseeing the delivery of corporate affairs activities that align with the bank's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Corporate Affairs in implementing the Corporate Affairs Plan and providing guidance on brand reputation, advocacy, and thought leadership.
  • Lead corporate communications for major initiatives, including the annual Impact Report.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with purpose-aligned organizations and foster key stakeholder relationships.
  • Design and implement media and public relations strategies, serving as the bank's primary media contact and coordinating media training.
  • Cultivate influencer engagement opportunities to promote the Bank Australia brand.
  • Contribute to advocacy planning and enhance the bank's thought leadership on impact priorities.
  • Collaborate with marketing to synchronize social media content and address reputational issues.
Requirements:
  • A strong background in corporate affairs, communications, stakeholder relations, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal—with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Proven experience in issues management, advocacy, and developing communications strategies within a corporate reputation context.
  • Demonstrated interest in public policy, social, and environmental issues in a business setting.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, research, and problem-solving, coupled with a strategic and analytical mindset.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams and coaching others to success.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities professionally, collaboratively, and results-drivenly.
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, business, public policy, social science, or a related field.
