About the Role
Caulfield Grammar School is seeking a talented Drum and Percussion tutor to join our passionate Music team at our Wheelers Hill Campus. As a natural mentor, you will foster relationships with music staff and students from diverse backgrounds, guiding them through drum and percussion lessons and potentially expanding your role.
This casual opportunity covers Term 3, providing private tuition and supporting the Year 5 Music Program. You will partner with the Head of Music to enhance our school music program, embodying the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop young talent and watch their growth under your guidance.
- Model dynamic energy and innovative methods to motivate aspiring musicians.
- Build robust interpersonal relationships with both students and staff.
- Collaborate with the Head of Music to further enhance our school music program.
- Embody and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviors.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate the ability to teach high-level drum kit (focusing on stage bands and Trinity) and Concert Band material.
- Previous experience tutoring in a school music program.
- Adept at connecting with students and staff.
- Enthusiasm and capability to lead within the Percussion Ensemble program.
- Hold a current employment Working With Children Check.
