About the Role
Caulfield Grammar School is seeking a talented Drum and Percussion tutor to join our passionate Music team at our Wheelers Hill Campus. As a natural people person, you will foster relationships with music staff and students from diverse backgrounds, mentoring students during drum and percussion lessons and potentially expanding your role.
This is a casual opportunity covering Term 3, providing private tuition as well as supporting the Year 5 Music Program. You will be a role model, demonstrating dynamic energy and innovative methods to motivate aspiring musicians, building robust interpersonal relationships with both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster young talent and watch their growth under your guidance.
- Role model dynamic energy and innovative methods to motivate aspiring musicians.
- Build robust interpersonal relationships with both students and staff.
- Partner with the Head of Music to further enhance our school music program.
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate the ability to teach high-level drum kit (focusing on stage bands and Trinity) and Concert Band material.
- Previous experience tutoring in a school music program.
- Adept at connecting with students and staff.
- Enthusiasm and capability to lead within the Percussion Ensemble program.
- Hold a current employment Working With Children Check.
