
Family Support Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Family Support Specialist. In this role, you will work with families to promote secure parent/child attachments and emotional and physical safety.
You will be responsible for engaging with families to stabilise high risk behaviours through supervised access play groups, conducting ongoing assessments of client issues, needs and circumstances, and developing individual case plans with clients.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of others. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with a diverse range of people.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Social Work or a similar profession, as well as extensive experience working with parents and child safety service interventions.
Responsibilities:- Promote secure parent/child attachments and emotional and physical safety
- Engage with families to stabilise high risk behaviours through supervised access play groups
- Conduct ongoing assessments of client issues, needs and circumstances
- Develop individual case plans with clients
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a similar profession
- Diploma of Welfare Studies or related field
- Extensive experience working with parents and child safety service interventions
- Relevant experience in a social service environment
