This role involves providing healthcare services to residents. As a skilled and compassionate nursing professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care that improves their overall quality of life.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical issues related to ageing and be able to effectively manage challenging behaviours. You will also need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a passion for supporting older Australians.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical care to residents
- Managing and supervising care workers
- Undertaking client assessments
- Monitoring and evaluating care plans
- Administering treatments as required
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor of Nursing degree and current AHPRA registration
- Knowledge of clinical issues related to ageing, including dementia-related disorders and management of challenging behaviours
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A big heart – you're empathetic and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possible
- Experience working as a registered nurse in an aged care centre environment
