Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our team in delivering high-quality care to emergency and critical care patients.
The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians during diagnostic procedures, treatments, and surgeries, upholding the highest standards of patient care. They will also monitor and manage patient conditions, including post-operative care, and respond to emergencies efficiently.
In addition, they will communicate effectively with the veterinary team, pet owners, and specialists to ensure seamless patient care. The successful candidate will maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency and critical care patients
- Assist veterinarians during diagnostic procedures, treatments, and surgeries
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including post-operative care
- Communicate effectively with the veterinary team, pet owners, and specialists
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
Qualifications and Requirements:
A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) is essential. The ideal candidate will have minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency or critical care setting, strong technical nursing skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and emergency response.
