About the Role

The Customer Data Analyst will play a crucial role in driving business decisions by producing, analyzing, and interpreting customer and marketing campaign data. This includes providing actionable insights to optimize membership program and campaign performance, enhancing customer experience, and identifying audiences for personalized marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Insights & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain membership program reporting, providing ongoing insights on performance and value to the business.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer behavior and value metrics – acquisition, retention, customer lifetime value.
  • Track JB Hi-Fi Membership program, campaign, and promotional performance, reporting on conversion rates, sales, and profitability.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize the membership program, communications, and promotions.
  • Conduct deep dive customer analysis, providing insights and recommendations on how to deliver greater value from existing and new customers.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, extract and manipulate data from various sources, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

Customer Data Platform Administration & Data Integrity

  • Administer user access and data management of data in marketing platforms, such as CDP and ESP.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage the integrity of data in platforms.
  • Ensure data governance requirements are maintained.

Segmentation Management

  • Identify cohorts to improve engagement and increase value.
  • Create segments within our data and marketing platform for highly targeted and personalized campaigns.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Degree or postgraduate qualifications in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a Customer Insights or Marketing Analytics role.
  • Advanced level of SQL.
  • Strong hands-on experience working with data and applying profiling and exploratory analysis techniques to large data sets to extract meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to apply visual storytelling techniques to present key insights inferred by the data.
  • Hands-on experience using and managing Customer Data Platforms (CDP) or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with internal Data Analytic teams to gain access to and work with centralized data capabilities in support of Marketing and Customer Data Requirements.
  • Strong experience with Data Analytic Platforms and reporting visualization tools (Power BI).
