Job Opportunity:

About the Role:

This position is ideal for someone who has a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing individualised support to children in their homes, assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care, grooming, and meal preparation, and supporting children to participate in community activities and outings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Individuals: Provide individualised support to children with physical or intellectual disabilities
  • Daily Living Tasks: Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, grooming, and meal preparation
  • Community Participation: Support children to participate in community activities and outings
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of client progress and support provided

Requirements:

  • Experience and Qualifications: Experience and/or qualifications in Individual Support, Disability Support, Aged Care, or equivalent
  • Approach and Attitude: Enthusiastic and positive approach to supporting people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability
  • Reliability and Caring Nature: Reliable, kind, and caring nature with good work ethics
  • Presentation and Professionalism: Well-presented and professional approach
  • Fitness and Adaptability: Active with average physical fitness level, flexible and adaptable to the needs of individuals
