The Central Coast Local Health District is seeking an experienced occupational therapist to take on a leadership role in mental health services. This position offers the ideal platform for a clinician looking to gain valuable leadership experience and advance their career.
As a Manager, Mental Health Occupational Therapy, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the capability of occupational therapy services in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. You will lead and oversee occupational therapy service delivery, including assessment, care coordination, care planning, and behavioural management.
- Enhance coordination and engagement across health services and external providers to better support individuals with complex mental health challenges.
- Lead and oversee occupational therapy service delivery to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Facilitate access to specialist services for clients with complex and high-level needs.
- Build the capability of the health workforce to deliver specialized mental health care.
- Improve the collection and use of data to inform future service development and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership within services focused on behavioural health.
- Demonstrate sound understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
- Utilize quality improvement frameworks and methodologies to drive service excellence.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy with current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Membership.
- Proven experience in providing clinical leadership.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
