Workshop Control Manager Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to oversee the efficient throughput of our service operations. This leadership role is crucial in ensuring that daily work tasks are allocated and organised seamlessly, promoting productivity and efficiency within the workshop team.

  • The Workshop Control Manager will coordinate daily activities, assign repair orders to technicians using our Dealer Management System, and ensure timely delivery of vehicles to customers.
  • This role requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and guide a team of over 40 technicians and apprentices, while maintaining high standards of service quality and dealership protocols.
  • The ideal candidate will utilise dealership training and experience, particularly within Mercedes-Benz or European brands, to drive efficiencies in the workshop and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining workshop productivity and efficiency levels is critical in this role, as is the ability to coach and mentor team members, including apprentices.
  • A reliable, self-motivated, and resilient individual with excellent organisation and leadership skills is required for this position.
  • Familiarity with dealership systems and processes is essential, as well as the ability to work within a dynamic workshop environment and collaborate with other departments.
About You:
  • Previous experience as a Foreman or similar leadership role within a dealership setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • An Australian driver's license is required for this role, as you will be expected to participate in on-the-job training and travel between locations as needed.
