Automotive Operations Manager

The Automotive Workshop Control role is a key position ensuring efficient throughput and job flow between service advisors and technicians.
- Coordinate daily workshop activities and assign repair orders to service technicians using our Dealer Management System.
- Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, managing a team of over 40 technicians and apprentices.
- Manage the workshop team to maximise productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Maintain an on-time delivery rate to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Identify technician strengths and weaknesses to allocate work effectively while creating opportunities to develop the team's skills.
- Work closely with Service Advisors to communicate vehicle progress and any additional work needed to customers.
- Monitor and improve job throughput to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
- Foster a supportive environment focused on customer satisfaction and team collaboration.
We seek a skilled professional with previous dealership experience as a Foreman or Workshop Controller. Strong organisation and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to coach and mentor, including apprentices.
- Able to maintain workshop productivity and efficiency levels.
- Reliable, self-motivated, resilient and have a great work ethic.
- Demonstrate a high degree of teamwork with the ability to work within a dynamic workshop environment.
- Hold a current Australian driver's license.
