Music Tutor Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced music educator to join our team as a Freelance Music Educator for instrumental students.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality music lessons to students from Year 5 to Year 11, focusing on trumpet instruction. The role requires strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a passion for developing young musicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide one-to-one and small group music lessons to students.
  • To develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of individual students.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents/guardians regularly.
  • To contribute to the development of the school's music program through participation in ensembles and other musical activities.

Requirements:

  • Musical qualifications (e.g., Bachelor of Music) and/or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in music.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possession of a Working With Children Check (WWCC) card or ability to obtain one.
