The REO Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Strategist to join their team as the Deputy CFO. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in a business that will be a major force in delivering the most significant defence program of works in Australia's history.

About the Role:

This challenging and rewarding role requires a CA or CPA qualified finance professional with significant experience in senior finance leadership roles. As the Deputy CFO, you will manage and execute corporate and program finance activities, supporting financial decisions across ASC, managing and maintaining ASC's insurance and risk, and managing ASC's infrastructure master plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Financial Management: Manage ASC's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, tax, and auditing. Ensure financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the short and long-term strategic business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.">
  • Risk and Insurance: Management and oversight of ASC's insurance and risk strategies, including business continuity planning and sustainability strategies">
  • Infrastructure Planning: Management of ASC's Infrastructure planning including long term strategies.">
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement ASC's financial strategy">
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly financial reporting & financial statement preparation. Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the CFCO, CEO, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders">
  • Leadership: Provide direction to the Finance and accounting team to ensure their ongoing professional development and training.">
    • ">
    • A tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline">
    • Certified as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar.">
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial principles, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and risk management">
    • Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning">
    • Demonstrated experience upholding high ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting and business practices">
    • You will also be required to obtain a security clearance and therefore are required to be an Australian Citizen.">

Negotiation Details:

We expect this role to command a salary range of AUD 180,000 - AUD 220,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
