ASC Pty Ltd is a leading Government Business Enterprise (GBE) in Australia, selected as the Australian Government's Sovereign Submarine Partner to sustain and jointly build the nation's nuclear-powered submarines.

We're committed to delivering the most significant defence program of works in Australia's history, and we're seeking an experienced Senior Financial Strategist to join our team.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum

This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a seasoned financial professional with expertise in strategic financial planning, risk management, and infrastructure planning.

About the Role

As the Senior Financial Strategist, you will be accountable for managing and executing corporate and program finance activities, supporting financial decisions across ASC, and managing ASC's insurance and risk strategies.

You will also oversee the preparation and communication of monthly financial reporting and financial statement preparation, ensuring timely reporting of key financial data and updates to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge and understanding of financial principles, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and risk management.

  • Develop and implement ASC's financial strategy, aligned with the company's overall business objectives;
  • Manage ASC's insurance and risk strategies, including business continuity planning and sustainability strategies;
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly financial reporting and financial statement preparation;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger;
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field;
  • Certification as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar;
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial principles, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and risk management;
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, risk management, and infrastructure planning;
  • Demonstrated experience upholding high ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting and business practices;

You will also need to obtain a security clearance, so you must be an Australian Citizen.
