Job Description:

As an On-Train Steward or Guest Service Attendant, you will play a key role in creating unforgettable guest experiences on our heritage train. Your responsibilities will include serving food and drinks, sharing stories and local knowledge, maintaining cleanliness at stations and carriages, and assisting at remote kiosks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver warm hospitality with food and beverage service onboard.
  • Share stories, commentary, and local knowledge to bring the journey to life.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming carriages and stations.
  • Support the crew wherever needed from kiosks to customer service.
  • Work under pressure while staying calm and efficient.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need a knack for storytelling and connecting with people, as well as strong teamwork and communication skills. Food and beverage or guiding experience is an asset, but not essential. You will also require RSA (or be willing to obtain one), a current Police Check, and the ability to pass a Category 3 Rail Medical. A driver's licence and flexibility to work across a 7-day roster are also necessary.
